Indican + Urinary Bile Acids

Urinary indican is an effective screening tool for assessment of protein digestion, dysbiosis, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), intestinal mucosal permeability and malabsorption states.  

Urinary Bile acids (BAs) Produced in the liver and play key roles in many physiological functions, such as cholesterol elimination, fat absorption, regulation of energy expenditure, as well as glucose and lipid metabolism. This is often used as an indication of potential liver dysfunction. Meaning that the detox pathway isn't functioning properly.
